According to an education department spokeswoman, the new academic year in Sindhi schools will start on April 15, 2024, with the winter and summer vacation timetables remaining the same.
A subcommittee meeting was chaired by Rana Hussain, the acting provincial education minister, to determine the dates of the new academic year for all of the province’s institutions and schools.
It was decided that the academic year would begin on April 15 for schools and on August 1 for institutions.
The spokesman stated that the current winter and summer vacation timetables will not change.
The spokesman stated that the results of the intermediate tests would be made public in the second week of August, while the results of the matriculation exams would be disclosed by July 31.
Teachers will participate in a 15-day training programme over the summer break.
