Solar Energy Converted at the Dawlance Factory

Dawlance invested more than 600,000 euros to convert one of its manufacturing sites in Karachi to solar power. With the help of this solar farm, the DPL facility will be able to generate 4,000 kilowatts of electricity—enough to supply 20% of the firm’s energy requirements from sustainable sources.

The largest manufacturer of home appliances in Pakistan is Dawlance, a fully-owned subsidiary of Arcelik, Europe’s second-largest manufacturer. The implementation of Dawlance’s ‘Progress Today, Preserve Tomorrow’ programme has now reached another significant turning point with this effort. Other significant industries must also take action to lessen the damaging UV radiation that enters the Earth’s atmosphere in order to save ecosystems and human health for a better future for humanity.

The carbon footprint of this plant will be reduced by 20% thanks to this solar power project, according to Dawlance CEO Umar Ahsan Khan. Being a leader in the field, Dawlance is encouraging all the big businesses in Pakistan to produce renewable energy to lessen their impact on the environment and save money on energy bills.
