Around 28 people were left injured during a suicidal attack that was supposed to be targeting a provincial governor of Afghanistan as the president has travelled to Qatar for the Talibaan “peace talks”
The explosives filled car suddenly came out of nowhere and the hit the governor’s convoy leaving the governor uninjured but injuring 28 other individuals.
The governor’s spokesperson stated: “The governor was driving to his office when his car was hit. Four of his bodyguards and four civilians were killed, 28 wounded,”
Three weeks ago the major peace talk occurred between the talibaan and the government of Afghanistan regarding the end of 19 year old clash, after which president had now gone to Doha, Qatar to meet the officials there.
Seems like even after the peace talks, there isn’t much peace from the side of Talibaans.
