Federal Cabinet has approved to authorize the designated officer of the sensitive organization to trace calls.
According to the private TV channel Geo News, the sources say that the federal cabinet has approved the summary through circulation. The sources say that the approval of the summary has been given in view of the fear of any crime in the interest of national security, while The Cabinet has given this authority under Section 54 of the Pakistan Telecommunication Act, 1996.
Sources also say that the officer who will be nominated by the agency will not be below grade 18.
