According to a statement from Pakistan Railways, all freight rates will rise by 5% overall as of 12 AM on September 2, 2023.
According to a letter from Pakistan Railways, this increase will be applied to all goods traffic, and the total goods will be rounded off as usual. However, this increase will not apply to the Cargo Express 501Up/502Dn and 503-Up/504-Dn.
The above instructions must be strictly followed by all station staff, and traffic inspectors and other relevant officials are in charge of enforcing this.
Additionally, work is being done on a new goods rates table that will show the estimated rate per tonne for trips up to 5,000 kilometres.
Copies of this table will be provided to all stations that accept bookings for goods traffic via the Divisional Superintendents.
