The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023 will take place again on November 19, the caretaker provincial administration of Sindh declared on Sunday, putting an end to rumors of an issue with the entrance exam for admission to medical and dental institutions in the province.
The Sindh Health Department announced that the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) would host the MDCAT 2023 retake.
The MDCAT-2023 will take place on November 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Karachi Expo Centre.
A representative for the Sindh health department said that all candidates will be subject to a thorough body check before entering the test room and advised against carrying cell phones, calculators, or other electronic devices.
Furthermore, parents and other family members of the applicants will not be permitted to remain in or near the testing facility.
The MDCAT 2023 results were revoked earlier this month by Maqbool Baqir, the interim Chief Minister of Sindh. The September 10 paper was leaked four to five hours before the exam started, according to the findings of an inquiry committee, which was taken into consideration while making the judgment.
MDCAT’s scandal of cheating
The MDCAT 2023 test was taken by 180,534 students from Pakistan on September 10 of this month.
Numerous students were detained when it was alleged that they used Bluetooth devices to cheat during the MDCAT, which was hosted in various domestic and international locations.
Forty-three candidates were detained in Peshawar, and at least ten prospective physicians were arrested in Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) for allegedly cheating on the test for medical and dentistry colleges.
Unexpectedly, every prisoner was using Bluetooth to allegedly cheat on exams. According to police sources in DI Khan, the applicants were given VIP access. They stated that each student earned a large payment for having their papers resolved.
