The Largest Bird Aviary in the World is Soon to Open in Islamabad

    At CDA Headquarters on Tuesday, an important CDA Board meeting was presided over by Noor-Alamin-Mengal, chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

    In the session, the CDA Board gave its approval for the construction of the largest bird aviary in the world in Islamabad’s F-9 Park. The ten-acre aviary will house breeding facilities for birds from around the globe. The main goal of this bird sanctuary is to create a place where different bird species can live in safety, helping to preserve biodiversity while also entertaining and informing park visitors. The Design, Build, Operate, and Transfer (DBOT) model will be used to construct The Aviary through an open auction.

    In addition, the CDA board approved the layout plans for Sectors D, E, and F. The revised LOPs for these sectors were presented, and in accordance with the board’s recommendations and directives, and will be planned in a contemporary manner while taking current needs into consideration.

    The open auction of 20 Capital Street Islamabad plots was approved by the CDA Board. The Capital Street rules and regulations were also approved by the board. The board also instructed in creating rules and regulations for capital streets that are friendly to investors.

    Additionally, the CDA Board approved the estimated Rs 150, 948.20 (million) budget for the fiscal year 2023–2024. The Capital Development Authority anticipates spending Rs 150, 095.74 (million). The current budget will have a surplus of Rs 852.46 (million).
