Arshad Nadeem, a renowned Pakistani javelin thrower, has once again brought honour to his homeland by taking home a silver medal from the World Athletics Championship in Hungary.
Despite a first throw of only 74.80 metres, Arshad Nadeem won the medal with his best throw of 87.82 metres on the third attempt.
The 25-year-old athlete recovered, though, and recorded 87.12 m in his final attempt after throwing an excellent 82.81 m in his second attempt.
He qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics last week with a throw of 86.79 metres, which earned him a spot in the World Athletics Championship finals.
