The Pakistani team for tomorrow’s third T20 International (T20I) match against New Zealand in Dunedin was revealed on Tuesday.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Abbas Afridi has been sidelined with a low-grade abdominal wall muscle injury, and Usama Mir and Aamer Jamal have been left from the team.

According to the PCB, Abbas Afridi’s scan did not show any serious injuries. As a result, he will be treated symptomatically, and the team will decide later whether to play him in the last two games.

Zaman Khan, Muhammad Nawaz, and Muhammad Wasim Junior are expected to play in the third Twenty20 International against New Zealand despite the loss.

In the first match, New Zealand won the second Twenty20 international against Pakistan by a margin of 21 runs, securing a 2-0 series lead. The squad has suffered a significant loss with Abbas Afridi out, but the PCB has expressed optimism that he will play in the next few games.

The victory for New Zealand was marred by the fact that captain Kane Williamson had to leave the game during batting due to a hamstring injury, raising doubts about his availability for the next four games in the five-match series.

The captain of Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, vice captain Mohammad Rizwan, wicketkeeper Azam Khan, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Saim Ayub, Muhammad Wasim Junior, Mohammad Nawaz, and Zaman Khan make up the playing XI for the third T20 International.
