With echoes of the icy walls of Adiala Jail, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will take the oath of office today together with imprisoned party leader Imran Khan, forming the provincial cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the northwest portion of the country.
PTI founder Imran Khan and Chief Minister Gandapur had a thorough meeting at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Gandapur gave the pertinent authorities instructions to finalize the plans for the Governor’s House oath-taking ceremony for the cabinet members.
In media chatter, the outspoken lawmaker has not disclosed the identities of the suggested cabinet members.
According to reports in the local media, several of the people whose names the PTI founder examined and accepted were not aware that they had been chosen. CM Gandapur complied with demands from some sections of the party to withhold the names of cabinet members.
Unverified sources state that the following people would be selected for coveted cabinet posts: Faisal Khan Tarakai, Dr. Amjad, Fazal Shakoor, Taj Mohammad Trand, Arshad Ayub, and Riaz Khan.
Aqibullah Khan, Meena Khan Afridi, and a few more PTI-KP chapter leaders would be chosen for the cabinet.
CM Gandapur stated that Imran Khan will make the ultimate decision on negotiations with the establishment during Tuesday’s media briefing. He emphasized that all Pakistanis owned the establishment and its institutions, but he also shared his opinions on mandate theft with influential people.
