The UAE has decided the temporarily ban of entry for passengers coming from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka on all flights on state and foreign airlines, as well as for passing through travelrs coming from these countries. The ban will be effective from Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Based on a notification on the website of the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), transit flights coming to the UAE and bound for these countries are excused from the suspension.
“This decision also includes extending the suspension of entry for travellers who were in these four countries in the 14-day period prior to arrival in the UAE,” it added.
Flights between the four countries will carry on to permit the carriage of travelers from the UAE to Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
UAE residents, durable residency holders – namely “golden visa” holders – and envois are excluded from the ban, which will be in effect right before the Eid festival celebrating the conclusion of the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan.
If someone belonging form these four countries wishes to travel to the UAE must be staying in another country for a minimum of 14 days before, the NCEMA stated
