Middle-order batsman, Umar Akmal, has mentioned that he is quite eager to rejoin to the Pakistan cricket team.
His statement has emerged after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has allowed him to continue cricket career. Akmal will be qualified to play once again after he has been allowed to return to the cricket field.
Akmal stated that he has gone through a lot over the previous year, but he has put the whole chapter in the past. He further said that he is concentrating on getting his place back in the cricket team. Akmal had a hopeful start to his international career and was one of the backbones of the Pakistan middle-order. He was included in 121 ODIs, 16 Test matches, and 84 T20Is for Pakistan from the time of his debut in 2009.
His auspicious career paused as a result of his thread of not so good performances and fights with the head coaches, Waqar Younis and Mickey Arthur. Akmal was expelled for three years by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after he was unsuccessful in reporting tactics shown by bookies. The prohibition was lessened to 18 months after a request.
