Virat Kohli reportedly received assistance from Richard Kettleborough, the on-field umpire during yesterday’s Bangladesh vs. India game, by not receiving a clear wide.
At Pune Stadium the day before, India was chasing a 257-run mark when a contentious call was made in the 42nd over, when Team Blue needed two runs to win and Kohli was three runs away from reaching his 78th international hundred.
Nasum Ahmed’s first pitch went down Kohli’s leg side, but the umpire did not call wide, sparking questions because doing so may have prevented the hitter from reaching a century.
After the second ball was a dot, Kohli hit a six to finish his century and give his team a fourth straight victory.
