Venue for T20 World Cup’21 to be shifted to UAE and Oman

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed that the 2021 T20 World Cup will now be moved to United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. The world cup is expected to commence from 17 October, and the final has been organized to be played on 14 November.

While the official calendar of the big tournament has not been revealed so far, it is highly probable that the tournament will be happening in these dates.

BCCI has told that the tournament will initiate a few days after the final of the suspended Indian Premier League (IPL). The rest of the IPL is expected to continue from 19 September with the final planned to be played on 15 October in the UAE.

Initial round of the 2021 T20 World Cup has been separated into two sets, with the matches taking place in two locations, one will be played in UAE whereas the other in Oman. Round one will comprise of 12 matches and the best two teams from both groups will qualify for the upcoming round, Super 12s.
