Up until now watsapp, a widely used messenger application has been providing its users all services free of costs. Including the general and business users.
Receently announced by the application via their blog, they will now be charging their business account users to some extent.
The official statement by the application’s blog read: “We’ve provided the WhatsApp Business app and WhatsApp Business API to help businesses of all sizes manage their chats. We’ve listened to feedback on what’s worked and believe WhatsApp can help make messaging the best way for consumers and businesses to connect,”
Over 170 million users message on business accounts on a daily basis and during this pandemic, the businesses through whatsapp has really made its way into the business and consumer world.
The statement further read: “We know that most people will continue to use WhatsApp simply to communicate with friends and family, which is why we will keep developing great new features and protect people’s private conversations”
