WhatsApp has again become rigid on its plan to make users accept new policy which critics stated that it could take and expose data collection from its two billion users from all over the globe.

WhatsApp, which was ready to make its new data-sharing policy effective from May 15, had delayed the enforcement of policy as there had been a massive user outcry after they revealed the policy and mentioned it on their website that immediate actions won’t be taken but the users will be reminded from time to time.

The company had claimed that the update will be beneficial for trading purposes for merchants using this platform for business.

But users were worried about the factor related to their data being shared publically after this upadte

“No one will have their accounts deleted or lose functionality of WhatsApp on May 15th because of this update,” according to the latest website update, which was seen earlier by The Verge and other media outlets.

“After giving everyone time to review, we’re continuing to remind those who haven’t had the chance to do so to review and accept,” the web page said.

“After a period of several weeks, the reminder people receive will eventually become persistent.”

“You won’t be able to access your chat list, but you can still answer the incoming phone and video calls…After a few weeks of limited functionality, you won’t be able to receive incoming calls or notifications and WhatsApp will stop sending messages and calls to your phone.”
