Zaka Ashraf has stepped down from his role as head of the Management Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman has resigned from the Management Committee. Additionally, Zaka Ashraf has resigned from the Board of Governors. Zaka Ashraf succeeded Najam Sethi as head of the management committee after joining the PCB Board of Governors in July 2023. Zaka Ashraf pledged to improve cricket during a committee meeting, but he also listed obstacles to the sport’s smooth operation.
Standing before the attendees of a continuing committee meeting, he declared, “I was working for the betterment of cricket, but it is not possible for us to work in this way.” Whoever the prime minister appoints will now be in charge,” he stated.
The supporters believe that the new candidate will carry on the aim of growing cricket in Pakistan, and the resignation represents a significant shift in the PCB’s leadership.
